It’s Time For You To Heal: A Guided Meditation

If you are reading this, the universe is saying that it’s time for you to heal.

You don’t have to sit with the open wound, burying it under pretenses, self-sabotage or other unhealthy habits. All those approaches popularised in movies, TV shows and books, they are outdated and do nothing for your true wellbeing. Pretending it doesn’t hurt? Pretending it doesn’t exist? Pretending you’re totally fine? None of those things are serving you, love.

The wound is there because something has marked you. Whether it’s an acquaintance, a friend, or a lover. Whether it’s a job, or an environment that is causing you great stress, anxiety, frustration. Whatever it is, the more you bury that wound, the harder you are making it to move on.

Burying it won’t make it disappear. Doing these things, you are not releasing yourself from the attachment of the pain, you are only securing said attachment, and prolonging your chance to heal.

You move on, by confronting the wound. You move on, by shedding light on the pain and addressing the truth of it. By understanding your pain, you are giving yourself permission to be freed from it and start healing.

In the past articles, we’ve already gone over a step-by-step guide on how to get over a break up, or how to prioritise your mental health when you’re in a professional environment that is toxic. For today, we will focus less on the mind, and more on the heart. Less on physical, practical steps, and more on hands-on, soulful meditation that is much needed.

When was the last time you sat with your own heart and held it, and said to yourself, ‘You are cherished, you are loved, you are honored’?

Ladies, it’s time to heal.

A Meditation for Heart Healing

To begin, make you are sitting in a comfortable position on a couch or bed, and that you will not be disturbed for 5-10 minutes.

Slowly, take 5 deep breaths. Breathe in, breathe out. Focus on your breathing, how your chest rises and falls, how your lungs fill with fresh air, fresh energy. Lean into these gentle sensations of your body, doing so will help you move out of your head, and into your body.

For the purpose of this meditation, visualise your heart as a child within you.

Hold her in your arms. Ask her, how is she doing? How is she feeling? Does she feel cherished and supported? Does she feel safe and wanted? If she could ask for anything to feel better, what would that request be?

Meditate over the answers, they should arrive intuitively. Let it guide you gently to understanding what your heart needs right now. Is it feeling anchored and held, feeling safe? Is it feeling truly seen that she desires most right now? Is there anything in your life that your heart no longer wants? The presence of which only stands in the way of your healing?

Now it’s your turn. Reassure and comfort your heart. Say…

You are deeply cherished and loved.’

‘You are always safe. You are deeply anchored in peace and stability.’

‘I honour your needs and desires. I honour your pleas to release what no longer serve us.’

‘I see you. You are seen completely, and accepted completely, and loved unconditionally.’

‘You can always trust me and rely on me. I will always have your back.’

Rest with your heart in deep communion as long as you feel called to do.

Positive Affirmations for Healing

To further build on the meditation, use these affirmations as often as you need in your daily life. State them out loud first thing in the morning, or mentally exclaim them just before drifting off into dreams. Write them down in your daily journal, or note them on a page you’ll keep on your nightstand so you are reminded of it often.

This may take a couple of days, weeks, or months. Perhaps even more, because everybody’s journey of healing is different, and that’s totally okay.

▪ I am ready to heal.
▪ I give myself permission to fully heal.
▪ I allow myself to heal.
▪ Each day, I am healing at an incredibly accelerated rate.
▪ I ask for the guidance and assistance of my higher self, my guardian angels, and archangels to help me heal.
▪ I command my mind, body and heart to operate in perfect health.
▪ I am in deep communion with my heart.

Darling, do not be intimidated by the process of healing. It doesn’t have to be complicated, messy, or even lengthy. It can last however long you want. It can be as easy as you want.

The choice is yours, and your healing begins with you making the conscious choice… that you are ready for it.
