How I Mastered My Writer Workflow (with Ulysses App)

Nowadays, I find myself glued to my devices, because the magical world of my books is just one click away. In the morning when I sip on my tea, in the afternoon after I’m done with work, at night before sleep, I keep adding ideas, whirling up new scenes to add to my story, adding a few more lines to the latest chapter . . . In other words, I’m finally writing with the efficiency I’ve always wanted, instead of getting stuck on writer’s block for weeks or months on end.

I never thought I’d say this, but it’s now a challenge to not binge-write every day — whereas previously I didn’t know how to push myself to write more often. I went from 20% productivity to, dare I say, 100%.

My Writing Process (Writer series)

When I write, everything goes quiet. There is only being and the joy of writing. When I write, it no longer feels like writing – the words fade – there’s only the world in my head, the boundless magical dimension I’ve created. The glowing crystal city of the Lunar Queendom in its eternal twilight, the windswept crumbles of a kingdom destroyed by a cybernetic corporation. There is only the luscious rainforest of Xandrias, an ever welcoming home with open arms, with its utopian values and academy housing the most diverse people. Slipping into the hearts of the characters feels like reuniting with old friends. A place where you will always belong.

If you’re a writer looking for tips and tricks, or if you’re simply curious about how the magic happens in a writer’s head, here’s how.

Xandrias: Celtic School of Magic & Mysteries

“A world born out of Kaodhan’s dream. Xandrias. The name has echoed across Orbisalia, evoking reactions as diverse as those that desperately seek its secret location: the cybernetic organization MERCURY, threatened by this subversive institute that undermines their network of power. And the broken youth of the otherworld, dreaming that Xandrias is more than a handful of lies and crushed hopes…

13 Surprising Facts You Didn’t Know About Me

My favorite trope in books is the found family one, always and forever, the bread and butter of my reading pleasures. (I’m looking at you, Maggie Stiefvater, and your raven boys that live rent-free in my head – may the universe bless your genial writer’s mind.)
